Hello Tunic.

Don’t ask me an exact date but I am pretty certain that I had (back in the day) a spate of loving tunics. In fact if I still felt it was safe to wear leggings all the time I probably would still be wearing tunics!

One thing I realise about tunic wear is that I probably shouldn’t wear them. As an apple shape you don’t really want to draw attention to your top half and instead you actually want to balance out your heavy top with a flashy bottom (or the like). However with all the good intentions or rules in the world sometimes you just want to hide away and a tunic does that for me.

Now I bought this top from Forever 21 when I went back in May? For my Spring Summer capsule shop and I almost didn’t buy it. I had one chambray shirt already and I had at the time tried to be good and minimise my chambray input but as ever this top one out and here we are with the cutest top in the whole world! I only have a small sinking feeling that this was actually being sold as a dress but oh well I will deal.

Now I could have obviously cowered with this unbelted but when it came to it I realised that no I actually should belt this! I should embrace the belt, in the long run it will all be worth it! This belt in particular is another triumph since I bought it on sale in January from Fat face! I love the braided detailing which I feel goes really great with the simplicity of this top!

I have to say I really think that adding a bit of structure to a tunic is certainly the way to go. I have worn the full on loose fit ones before but nothing quite compares to giving yourself a good pulling together! What’s the verdict are tunics the way or are they a no go fashion backtrack?

What do you wear for your first summery saturday in a while to go eat lunch in the park? Well a dress or in this case tunic of course. I love a great summery dress and this is a steal at only £18.

So far it has kept its shape well and I have worn it with everything from walking sandals and walking boots to sandals and heels its really great and versatile and I really can’t fault it, a great go to. To mix it up so you can’t get bored of it too quickly I layered it up with my favourite jumper and a chambray shirt acting as a jacket which both worked well as make shift blankets for when the sun went in! The perfect day in the park ensemble!

Happy Thursday! Do you no what the best thing about Thursdays are? Its close to Friday. Which means we can pull out those weekend clothes again! Can I get a whoop whoop?

So last weekend me and the boy went to London ( I might have mentioned that . . .) for the weekend and thought it would be sensible to pack all our clothes and stuff into our rucksacks rather than taking unnessessary luggage which was great, if not a little annoying but it meant that comfy clothes and re mixable ones were key! During the day I wore this tunic like this and then in the evening I switched it up with my red heels and leggings.

Whats funny is I hardly wear my many pairs of converse these days but we took these pictures in my university campus and I used to always wear Converse to class! In fact I’m pretty sure if you asked anyone from my classes what my style was Converse would be mentioned! rocking them again was fun until I got killer cramp which has plagued me all week since but it was worth it for running round in something other than boots (walking or otherwise).

Whats your most comfortable about town shoe? And if you’re a bigger footed lady like myself where do you love for great priced but supportive shoes that don’t look like you’ve stolen your grandmothers orthopedics*. Or that they have made a comeback from the nineties . . . I hate that.

*my grandmothers would like to add that they don’t in fact wear orthopedic shoes. these are the type of offending shoe I was thinking of . . . *shudders* pale peach what?!?
