AW15 Topshop!

Bag+ Dungarees+ Top+ Skirt+ Trousers+ Lofas+

You know what I love most about Topshop? Most of their items come in all three heights! There’s none of this oh, shorter ladies want only florals or tall girls only want black they equally distribute the love and for that I will be forever grateful!

Surprisingly I haven’t included a lot of patterns but I have been determined to seek out some separate colours. With my years capsule behind me I am still looking to flesh out my basics and even out my colours and so I of course fell headfirst in love with the rich forest greens and oranges for this fall.

Even better is I believe that all the items above will make an excellent capsule wardrobe on their own! you can certainly wear that top with all the bottoms, the shoes go with everything and let me tell you dungarees? I want. I want. I want.

I am being really strict on my purchases this fall and from my research I know that I am looking at staples that also make a style statement such as the 70’s denim skirt, a pair of swish lofas and of course dungarees. I love Topshop for these looks particularly, they really focus on trend led styles and thats something that I feel I have room for this time around, especially since parts of this season feel so classic . . .

The worst has happened. I am struggling to wear heels. Since just before Christmas I have been having prolific cramp in my toes and calves which heels have not helped. In fact the last time I wore my wedge trainers walking (Which I used to do all the time – not just to sit in the office or go between car and dinner) Josh threatened to get us a cab pick the car up because I couldn’t walk or shake the cramp out of my poor damn toes. It has been hell on earth.

Add in consistent rain and I have been wearing a pair of low brown boots (which have yet to make it on the blog probably because I look at them like they are the evil rain spawns. (They totally are.) My grey ankle pirate boots and black knee high boots are all I have worn lately. I am so over boots believe me. So I am very much looking forward to spring/summer as I intend to pick myself up some bright coloured flats (I have seen online, mint and yellow hello! come home with me?) sandals and maybe some more brogues to bring in the new seasons while I can’t wear all my favourite heels.

But I am very cut up over this. I can’t think of anything worse than flats forever but fingers crossed with more exercise and stretching I can perhaps work this cramp away!

p.s. excuse that crinkle bag I can’t get the crinkles out!?! crazy . . .

So these are out of order But I figured Friday first, right? After all its got to be the best day first! So my Friday finest had to go from commute to office to dinner and drinks with my two best friends from uni, Becky and Becky – not confusing at all.

So this week was an odd dressing week. I’m really not sure whats been going on with my once getting better dress sense! Ok, thats a lie I know what happened, have I told you what I do for a living? So, I started off as a admin assistant (who hasn’t? – uni, it sets you up to start in admin) However I got lucky with mine. In that now I get to make flyers and marketing things which means I get to go back to my secondary school roots of making graphics for a week and a bit every month.

However as with when I was at school if I had one great creative outlet all others fell by the wayside. Well I hate to brag but the graphics are looking pretty damn awesome right now! So apparently my ability to dress well has gone a little off kilter of late. However this time around I reckon I can balance the two I used to manage it so how hard can it be?

For now however get ready for some questions like “Why is it I have a wardrobe full of clothes and absolutely nothing to wear?” Lets just pray that this passes quickly cause i’m not sure my bank could handle another wardrobe overhaul.

So above are the run down of this weeks outfits. I would have worn them to show you but I’m having a no make up weekend and the acne at the moment is pretty terrifying. In fact Josh has run screaming from me only a handful of times this weekend. Then again I might’ve also been purposely hiding around corners crying out boo when he came near but thats only a maybe.
