Mind the Barrier . . . and other snow adventures.

So it was a strange kind of snow day. Firstly because I didn’t wake up with a strong sense of hate for the horrid cold stuff (which almost never happens) and then secondly as we walked into the park today the girl in front of us actually managed to walk into the closed barrier. Luckily she didn’t seem hurt but it gave me another good reason to warn people about the dangers of snow.

So keep an eye out folks! Just because the snow is pretty doesn’t mean that we should ignore closed barriers! Hope you’ve all had a good weekend!

and for someone I find incredibly cute . . .

Weekend Wear

It was a bright kind of day, one which I was going to properly document, but I had bad hair and my skin just wasn’t looking good . . . you know one of those days.

But it was a good day because I am finally wearing colour again! I’ve recently been going through my wardrobe to really weed out the bad pieces from the good. Its been a part of my 2013 resolutions which i’ll tell you about in an upcoming post.

For 2013 its all about the statement pieces and the classics. So with that in mind im bringing the colour back. It’ll just be interesting find the ones that suit and the ones that certainly don’t!

and yes, I did wear ear muffs and a pom pom scarf today – cause im whimsical like that.

Snow be gone!

Its Wednesday. When did that happen? No joke I wrote Tuesday on my to do list before I realised. I know a lot of people probably feel that the work week drags, but im pretty sure mine speeds up. I can’t keep up with it! which is probably why I originally wore this outfit several Sundays ago and photographed it but ran out of time to post it!

Luckily I wore pretty much the same outfit yesterday bar the shoes so I felt that this outfit has made its comeback! Now the reason for not wearing the shoes is because of snow. Not actual snow just the crazy weatherman snow – the one thats always coming but never come. I miss all my other shoes its such a shame when theres only one pair I can wear in the icy/snowy weather.

I also have to tell you my house is a strange place at the moment. The boy has much to my dislike gone on nights. Which would be fine but at the same time only getting to see him on weekends is so not fun. But bigger than that we are both going through and watching “How I met your Mother” as we were before the nights only before the nights we’d watch it together. Now however we have taken to watching the same disks in different places. So during the night I bring the disks into the bedroom and during the day Josh brings it into the living room. Its quite disconcerting to see the thing you pretty much knew where it was no longer be there. We are like ghosts tricking the other one.

So i’m off to find that disk! Enjoy the end of your week!

Bringing the bling . . .

You’d be forgiven for not noticing my ring – because and I realise this, that I don’t post enough images of my accessories as part of my outfit. I am trying, honest. Just this last week I wrote this+ post for TVCLifestyles talking about my favourite ring, ever. Ok, maybe not ever, but for right now, sure. Its a hand me down and I feel decidedly naked without it.

This post is not all about my missing jewelry photos however. This is also a snow announcement. Did you know I hate snow? like dread it. A, its cold and wellies are not a fashion statement that I enjoy and B, I think when you’ve broken an ankle once you’ll learn that like my fav Taylor Swift lyrics, you’ll never ever ever want to do it again. Therefore because of snow (and I might have been very slightly – Ok, hung over on Sunday) I don’t have any new new posts this week – although a couple of outfits you’ve never seen, I’m not entirely convinced that these may be my best. So forgive me if you think what were you thinking?

On the plus side I bought really cute ear muffs today. (It was cold and I had time to kill at the train station – i may have a shopping problem!) So if your lucky you might just see them!

Until then, enjoy the weather wherever you are – and even if today is the (apparently) most depressing day of the year, I bought cute ear muffs so it can’t be all bad, right?

Lucky Sundays.

Its been getting cold, cold. Like so cold my normal hour and half journey to work took four. Cold enough that my car wouldn’t start and we had to push it out of the garage and jump start it kinda cold.

Im not a huge fan of the cold. And an even smaller fan of snow. Ok, lets be honest here snow is like my mortal enemy, its pretty and I used to like walking in it but then poorly ankles happened and the idea of falling in the snow became the worst prospect ever.

In fact I’d say the only snow i like is that in movies. In particular Camelot the musical is where I like snow best, which reminds me I must collect my christmas movies together as sundays in December aren’t Sundays without christmas movies.
