Oh so (not) Vintage.

I would like to introduce you to my most recent sale purchase. This yellow, white and black floral skirt was all alone in Dorothy Perkins and in my size so of course it had to come home with me right? It would get lonely on its own after all.

I think what I love most about it, is it has a vintage vibe. A great vintage vibe is all good in my books. Sure I’ll never look as good as the lovely Gemma but a girl can dream right?

I’m super excited for this weekend as a three day weekend is about three times just as great as a normal weekend. Also my fiancé made me watch the second Hobbit film this past weekend. Now, I know I had read the book at least three times as a child but for my own sanity I must have wiped it from my memory – how have they even contemplated making three films out of that one tiny book? Also I thought that film would never end. In fact i’m very grateful that now on Friday that I’m not in fact still watching it. Me and the Hobbit therefore? Not firm Friends.

Wherever you are enjoy your weekends whether they be one day, two days or three!

City Lights and Nights . . .

From day to . . .

To Night . . .

As someone who works in the big smoke – London. For some reason since moving to kent I call London “The City” (There are cities in Kent, btw – so who knows where that came from!) Needless to say its part of (I think) The culture for Londoners and commuters alike. Finish work, put on a fresh lip colour and your out the door on the way to drinks, dinner and nights out with friends. Or work . . .

Whatever the reason, I always need a good from day to night outfit. We have a casual dress code so it means I can mix it up quite nicely. I especially love going from flats to a great heel, especially the pointed toes as they tend to hurt too much to wear all day. .  .

(p.s excuse the crazy hair, it needs both colouring and cutting – a dreadful combination)

Lucky Sundays.

Its been getting cold, cold. Like so cold my normal hour and half journey to work took four. Cold enough that my car wouldn’t start and we had to push it out of the garage and jump start it kinda cold.

Im not a huge fan of the cold. And an even smaller fan of snow. Ok, lets be honest here snow is like my mortal enemy, its pretty and I used to like walking in it but then poorly ankles happened and the idea of falling in the snow became the worst prospect ever.

In fact I’d say the only snow i like is that in movies. In particular Camelot the musical is where I like snow best, which reminds me I must collect my christmas movies together as sundays in December aren’t Sundays without christmas movies.
